Gas Malaysia Energy and Services Sdn. Bhd. (GMES) was established in 2017, in line with the implementation of the Third-Party Access (TPA) framework as a result of Malaysia’s ongoing gas market liberalisation. As part of this, GMES was granted a Shipping License and license from our regulator, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), to import liquefied natural gas for regasification.
With the liberalisation of the Malaysian gas market under the Third-Party Access (“TPA”) framework, Gas Malaysia Energy and Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gas Malaysia Berhad was incorporated on 21 November 2017.
Gas Malaysia Energy and Services Sdn Bhd successfully obtained the Shipping License and the Import into Regasification Terminal License from the regulator.
